Land Cruising Andalusia
Alhambra Cabo de Gata Almeria
While cruising the coast of Spain I wanted to take every opportunity to explore the interior and non-port cities by the roads in Spain, using a combination of rental cars, buses and trains.  As it turned out this land cruising was limited to the portion of Andalusia that borders the Costa del Sol.  All of these trips took place during the week my brother, Jeff, visited me in Almeria.  The links below, in the menu on the left, and hot spots on the chart lead to the pages that cover this land cruise.
The Alhambra - The magnificent Alcazaba and Palaces of the Moors and the Christian re-conquerors in Granada.
The Alcazaba of Almeria - A large Moorish fortress very near the marina at Almerimar.
Cabo de Gata - The SE corner of Spain.  A cape I will have to round on the way to the Balearic Islands.
