Day 2: Great Wicomico River to Great Bridge, VA
On October 9, our second day heading south, Mike and I got an early start out of the Great Wicomico River.  We wanted to get as far south of Norfolk as practical that day.  We got underway shortly before dawn and headed out into the Bay.
Click on image to view at full resolution As we departed the Great Wicomico the sun was just rising over the bay.  There was a bank of steam fog on the bay - the result of the cold air moving over the still warm bay waters.

Click on image to view at full resolution By 4:00 PM we entered Norfolk Harbor and passed the U.S. Navy Atlantic Fleet docks.
