The Potomac River is another of the great cruising areas of the Chesapeake Bay.  There are a number of enjoyable destinations within an easy day's sail from my home port on the Patuxent River.  These anchorages have long been among my favorites.  For some reason I haven't been back to the Potomac for a number of years.  Putting these web pages together has reminded me of all of the places I haven't visited for some time.  A Potomac cruise is back on the top of my list.

Because of it's proximity to the Patuxent River I can easily cruise to the Potomac River and back on any three day weekend.  Consequently I've never spent a longer period of time on the River.  Therefore I have only explored the rivers and creeks within 10 miles of Pt. Lookout.  Still this includes a lot of really great destinations, many of which are listed in the menu on the left or they can be accessed by hot spots on the chart.
