Among other attributes the St. Marys River is the finish destination for the annual Governor's Cup race.  The finish line is off Church Pt. just below Horseshoe Bay.  The fleet ties up to the St. Marys University dock in Horseshoe Bay.  Most of my trips to this River have been on that race.  We have cruised to St. Inigoes Creek and St. Georges Island.  On our trip to St. Georges we anchored in the basin of the maritime school and caught a ride to Evans Seafood Restaurant for dinner.
