The Inventory application forms are all driven by the tables of location and category names established in the Layout, CatTables and KitTables worksheets.  You can customize the inventory by adding to, removing from, and modifying the contents of these tables.  Currently this customization process must be done manually.  Eventually most of this customization will be done within one user-form or another, but for now you must have some experience working Excel to do this customization.  You do not need to go into the underlying Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code to customize the application.
With version 2.9 the customizing of the Categories and Sub-Categories can be accomplished within the Categories user form.
This page provides detailed instruction on how to perform the following customizations to the Inventory
  1. Creating the basic cabin and locker layouts
  2. Adding, removing or renaming cabin Lockers
  3. Adding, removing or renaming inventory Categories and Sub-Categories (version 2.86 and later)
  4. Adding, removing or renaming inventory Sub-Categories (versions prior to 2.86)
  5. Adding, removing or renaming Critical Kits
