Sarah, Pearson 424 Ketch, Hull Nr 2 (1978)

Sarah short-tacking up St. Lenard Creek, off the Patuxent River, MD.  circa 2003.  (Photo by Joe Kewer)		 The purpose of this section of the website is to document my ownership from 2000 to 2021 of the Pearson 424 Ketch named Sarah.  For the first 5 years I owned her I used Sarah for weekend and vacation cruises on the Chesapeake Bay while preparing her for my trans-Atlantic trip to Europe and the Mediterranean Sea in 2005. Sarah returned from Europe in 2007, and spent the winters of 2008 and 2014 in The Bahamas, the winter of 2009 in New Bern, NC. Sarah was also my full-time home from 2003 t0 2021.

Detiorating health kept me dockside in Jacksonville, Fl form 2014 to 2021 and eventually forced me to sell the vessel in July of 2021.
