Composting Head
Description Current Status
I've had to clear clogged sewage lines once too often.  In December, 2007 I ordered an Airhead composting head. The Airhead was delivered in March, 2008.  I have created a web page on the installation here.
The installation of the toilet was completed on May 31, 2008 and it is now in operation.
Engine Box Rebuild and Sound Insulation
Description Current Status
Sound proofing is almost non-existent on Sarah's engine compartment.  With the engine running it is almost impossible to monitor or converse over the SSB or VHF radios.  The engine compartment box has some vestigial sound proofing material that looks to be part of original (1978) equipment.  There is no sound proofing of the rear and sides of the engine compartment.

With the completion of the repower a new engine box is now a necessity.

New Sails
Description Current Status
Re-cut the staysail so that it does not overlap the shrouds.
Add a mizzen staysail.		 Quantum Solomons Loft re-cut the staysail in February, 2008.  I've now got to figure out how to rig it.  This will require putting two short pieces of genoa track on the coach roof.  The more difficult problem is how to rig the sheets for this sail so it can be trimmed by the mainsheet winch.
No action on the mizzen staysail as yet.
