Filtering Multiple Volume/District Lists

The program can apply filters to more than just the Volume/District Light List that is displayed on the main form. This can be accompished in two manners: (1) by loading multiple Volume/District Light Lists in the program table; or (2) by checking the "Filter all District/Volumes" check box. These two methods can produce different results

Multi Volume Filter without the Box Checked

KML Filter with One Volume Loaded
Fig. 1, KML Filter - 1 Volume Loaded, No Check Box

In Fig. 1 I have loaded one Volume/District file (V02D05) and set a KML filter (BeaufortToCharleton) that also covers a portion of the V3D07 Light List. Since I did not check the "Filter all District/Voumes" box, the filter was only applied to the single Light List that had been loaded into the program table.

KML Filter with two Columes Loaded
Fig. 2, Two Volumes Loaded, No Check Box

In Fig. 2 I have applied the same filter, but this time I had also loaded the V03D07 file into the program table. Now when the fiter is applied the program selects entries from both files. Location filters are applied to all Volume/District lists that have been loaded into the program memory. If a location filter has not been specified, the other filters (Updated and Content) will be applied only to the Volume/District in the data display of the main form.

Multi Volume Filter with Box Checked

KML Filter, Box checked
Fig. 3, All Volumes Box Checked

In Fig. 3 I have once more applied the " BeaufortToCharleston" KML filter with only the V02D05 file in the program table, but this time with the "Filter All District/Volumes" box checked. The pogram once more selects entries from the V3D07 Light List in additon to V2D05, similar to the result shown in Fig. 2, but this time the program has loaded all of the Volume/District files into the program memory, including those that were out of date (Red in the list box).

Therefore any time more than one Volume/District Light List has been loaded in the program table, location filters will be applied to all of those lists, but only those lists. If the "Filter All District/Volumes" box is checked, all filters will be applied to all of the Volume/District files, including those that have not been loaded into the program memory.
