Pearson 424 Ketch LightListManager User Guide

Filtering the Light List Display

LightListManager provides a number of filters that can be applied to one or more of the Voume/District files to provide a reduced listing of those navaids that are of specific interest. This might be wanted to produce a filter list of navaids for an uncharted inlet or a problem area on the Atlantic Intra Coastal Waterway (AICW). The filters can also be used to produce a listing of all navaids of a specific type.

Multiple filters can be applied at one time (e.g., all unlit marks in a given area). The multiple filters are additive in nature. That is, list entries must meet all filter criteria to show up in the filtered list.

Filters can also be applied to more than one Volume/District list. For example, you can apply an area filter where that area crosses the boundary between two or more Volume/District lists. The resultant listing will include all entries from those lists that fall within the specified area filter.

There are three categories of filters:

Filters can also be saved and restored. If the navaids in a specific inlet are of concern, a filter for that inlet can be established and saved. When an updated Light List file has been downloaded, that filter can be re-applied, and any changes to that inlet identified

More detailed descriptions on what filters are available and how they can be applied are available from the drop down list for this section of the User Guide by hovering the cursor over the "Filter the Lists" title, above.
